Core Team Introductions


Francisco graduated from WTMC in 2015 and is currently working full time at Thomson Reuters in Tax & Accounting Department. He enjoys hiking trips, making puns, wearing hats for every occasion, board games, and video game nights with friends. This is his first semester with the Core Team. Francisco enjoys being on Core team because it’s an opportunity to help teens with their struggles.




Michael graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2014 with his Bachelor’s in Communications. Now he is working as a manager at a movie theater. A couple of his favorite things are tacos, pizza, dancing, movies and ripstiking. This is his third year on Core Team. Michael appreciates how the teens pursuit for God pulls him towards loving God more himself.




In 2013, Gabry graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management from Belmont Abbey College. She currently works for Corporate Travel in Northville.  She loves to travel, have unexpected adventures, outdoors, acting, sports, and Michigan football.  She loves discovering the mysteries of the faith with the teens. This is her second year on the Christ the King Core team, preceded by two and a half years at Our Lady of Good Counsel.




Matthew is currently going to Southeast Michigan Construction Academy to become a Master Electrician. He will graduate in 2020. He enjoys making art glass pieces and spending time with his family. Matthew has been on Core Team 3 years, prior to that he went on a 3-month long mission trip. He loves being on Core and having the opportunity to help teens and strengthen his faith.




John has been the Youth Minister here at Christ the King since 2016. He was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI by his Atheist hippie parents. He had a dramatic conversion to Catholicism in 1998.  John graduated from NMU in 2002, got his Masters in Education in 2006, and is working on another Masters in Sacred Scripture. John loves roller coasters, building stuff with wood (including fires), worshiping God, and meeting new people.



Bill grew up in Detroit and Farmington Hills and graduated Eastern Michigan University with a B.A. in Psychology and a M.S. in Accounting. He currently sells software to accounting firms for Thomson Reuters.  Over the years Bill has done worship ministry, Bible studies, home groups and prayer ministry.  He’s been a Catholic for 5 years and loves it. Bill joined Core Team August 2018.  He loves being on Core Team because the teens inspire him and he wants to help raise up an army of teens who know and love Jesus.



Frank graduated from Michigan Technological University in 2012 with a degree in Chemical Engineering and currently works for DTE Energy. Frank has led small groups since 2013 and joined Core Team in 2015, taking a break to get married. Some of his favorite things include Michigan Football, Detroit Red Wings, and playing hockey with his friends and family. Frank loves being on Core Team as a chance to give back and share from of the love and joy that God has.




Joe attended seminary before transferring and graduating from EMU with a BBA in Accounting. He is currently a Staff Accountant for Wimsatt Building Materials. Joe has experience in prison ministry and joined the Core team in 2009, rejoining after his marriage. Joe loves building things, entertaining, cooking, personal finance, and spending time with his wife and four children.  He loves being on Core team because he gets to be a part of the passion and zeal that the teens bring with their love for God.



Michele earned her associates studying Gerontology at Madonna University. She recently retired from her job of 10 years as a nursing assistant at Huron Woods. She loves to create things so you’ll often find her crafting different projects. Michele has been serving on the Core team for the past 4 years alongside her husband Joe. She enjoys how being on the Coreteam gives her a chance to see (and help teens see) God’s outpouring of love.




Nanette worked at General Motors for 14 years as a Mechanical engineer after going to Lawrence Institute of Technology. She retired when her daughter was born. She has been involved in Upper Room ministry, attends Encounter School of Ministry and has led small groups at Life Teen before joining Core this year. Nanette enjoys playing tennis and loves to spend time with family and friends. She is on Core Team to empower young people for mission to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in the world today.
