Parish Nurse Ministry

The Parish Nurse ministry provides educational information, resources, and similar assistance to members of Christ the King. This ministry does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or hands-on nursing care.

The Parish Nurse ministry is linked to and supported by the Faith Community Nursing Partnership of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. This partnership provides links to programs and health information; supplies, such as CPR manikins; and networking to other programs being held at other area churches. For more information about the FCN partnership, go to www.stjoesannarbor.org/FCN.

Our Parish Nurse is Betty Diefenbach, RN, BSN, a retired nurse with 44 years of nursing experience, including 15 years as a parish nurse. To learn more about Betty and the Parish Nurse ministry, read the interview with Betty that appeared on page 9 of the December 2019 issue of The Open Door newsletter.
