Reserved Seating at the Easter Vigil
One of the primary aspects of this solemn liturgy is welcoming the RCIA Candidates into the Church. A number of seats will be reserved for the Candidates, family members and sponsors. Seats for these individuals will be in the front pews of the center sections. Other ministers such as readers, cantors, and the music team need to be seated in places that facilitate their ministry. Families of parishioners who offer service to facilitate the liturgies of the Triduum are offered reserved seating. We honor the Servants of God’s Love with reserved seating. Reserved seating for the physically challenged: Those requiring special seating due to physical challenges may sit in a designated area. Please contact Peter Vanicelli no later than Sunday, March 26 to reserve no more than two seats.
Reminder: Please maintain silence in the church before and after all liturgies.
Silence is used by the Church to remind us of the reverent awe appropriate during these most holy days. At the conclusion of the Mass on Holy Thursday, the Blessed Sacrament will be processed to the repository. We depart from Mass on Holy Thursday in silence, remembering the impending arrest and Passion of our Lord. On Good Friday, we gather and depart in silence in commemoration of the Lord’s Passion. Finally, we gather in silence for the Easter Vigil, in joyful expectation of the Resurrection.
