Youth Discipleship Registration 2025-2026

NEW THIS YEAR – there are separate registration forms for each of these children’s/youth programs:

  • Liturgy of the Word for Children

  • Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS)

  • Grades 1 – A1:8 (including Fuel)

  • Sacrament Prep

 

 

Liturgy of the Word for Children (LWC)

  • For children ages 3 through 2nd grade
  • Offered during the 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM Sunday Masses
  • Begins September 7

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS)

  • For children ages toddler through 6th grade
  • Start dates vary by session
  • Sacramental Prep Option: CGS can be used for First Communion prep. See details HERE.

Medical Form

Religious Education – Grades 1-5

  • Weekly on Wednesdays, 4:30–6:00 PM
  • First class: Wednesday, September 10
  • Note: No evening session offered this year

Sacrament Preparation – FIRST CONFESSION & FIRST COMMUNION

All families must register using the “Sacrament Registration” button below, regardless of prep option chosen

  • Families must:
    • Be registered parishioners of Christ the King (CTK)
    • Attend Mass at CTK at least 3 Sundays per month
    • Submit a copy of the child’s baptismal certificate by October 1, 2025 (if child was not baptized at CTK) to aekblad@ctkcc.net.

Preparation Options (You will be asked to choose one on the registration.):

  • Wednesday Religious Ed (Grade 2): Weekly, 4:30–6:00 PM (You must also register using the “Youth Discipleship Registration” button)
  • Catholic School or Homeschool Option: Child receives catechesis at Catholic school (SSA/HVCS) or Homeschool; attends CTK for readiness interviews and sacraments only. You may register through the “Sacrament Prep Registration” button ONLY.
  • Attend Catechesis of the Good Shepherd: A two-year program, beginning in Grade 1, includes:
    • Regular CGS sessions
    • 5 additional Saturday morning sessions
    • A retreat day
    • You must also register for CGS using the “Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Registration” button above.

FUEL – Middle School Youth Ministry (Grades 6–8) 

  • Meets twice monthly on Sundays, 7:00–9:00 PM
  • Includes praise & worship, social time, talks, small groups, and catechesis
  • Welcome Night: September 7

Important Note about Prayer Ministry: Prayer Ministry will be available at events throughout the year at FUEL and A1:8. By sending your child to these events, you consent to them receiving prayer ministry. If you have questions, contact: John Hoving – jhoving@ctkcc.net

All Year 2 families must also register using the “Sacrament Registration” button below.

 

A1:8 – High School Youth Ministry

  • Weekly on Tuesdays, 7:15–9:30 PM
  • Includes praise & worship, social time, talks, and small groups
  • Runs year-round

Kindly note that once you begin the registration process, it must be completed in one sitting, as the form cannot be saved and resumed later. We recommend setting aside a few uninterrupted minutes to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Fee Schedule for Youth Discipleship Programs

Liturgy of the Word for Children – $15 per child

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd – $100 per child ($50 if a parent volunteers weekly)

Catechesis Grades 1-6 , Confirmation/Fuel, A1:8 – $75 per child (price cap set at 4 children, additional children are free)

Additional Sacramental Fee for any child receiving First Communion or Confirmation – $25 (covers day-of costs: photographer, reception, etc.)

Late fee, after Saturday, August 23 – additional $25 per family
